• The initial cost to set up a system can be twice that of conventional system that utilize fossil fuels
• Difficulty of installation- Long pipes is used for installation, and as a result areas of dense population will have a difficult time getting energy into homes. Another factor is finding qualified personnel with the expertise to do the job.
• Geothermal Energy is not completely environmentally friendly. The system uses refrigerants to power pump in respect of cooling. As well electricity power is drawn from national grid to power pump, however this can be altered by using solar panels for a more eco friendly home.
